Tortilla De Patata

Yesterday Arian had to make a "Food from another country" for his World Geographpy class. So, he chose to make a family favorite of ours from Spain- "Tortilla De Patata." This is true "comfort food in any typical Spanish home, campo, Tapas bar, children's birthday party, etc etc.. We loved it there, and still do here.
Its quite a "commom sense" meal for so many reasons. One, its inexpensive ( ie typically uses only eggs and potatoes.... Sometimes other countries improvise with it and add cheese or meat, but not in Southern Spain..) Also, its so very high in protein. Is easy to travel and picnic with.. One will often slice it between bread ( Bocadillo) and its an instant, hardy, satisfying meal ( eaten like a sandwich.) Is best served room temperature ( you will never have it served hot in Spain..) It is great for parties. Kids and adults alike love it!
I will post the recipe soon. It is a fun and easy dish to prepare.
Love,
Jenny
