Our friends ( and neighbors,) The Pruitts have a wonderful fig tree in their backyard. We have been the blessed recepients of recieving the bounty that the fig tree has provided this summer. The kids and I have had several trips totheir backyard to pick fat, juicy,yummy, ripe figs! Yesterday, we gathered a new fresh crop of figs. Then we came home and made fig Perserves.
We multi-tasked as we made the perserves, also read ( while it simmered,) and washed out the jars for canning!
This morning, we had our homade perserves on hot, buttered, wheat toast. Delish!
