Signs of Fall gathered by kids

The kids, Izzi , and I went out for a walk int the countryside not too long ago. As we walked, we talked, and gathered things that made us think of Fall.
We got ( and saw!) a few things that are native to Texas: Grab-Apples, wild berries, thorn brush, and dried wheat.
As we were walking, Aden said " Mom! Look! there is a GIANT rat!!!" Hesitantly, I looked up and there he was, the " rat" aka: an armadillo!
We were thankful for his sighting as it reminded us of where we are- Texas! And, it opened up a whole new conversation about this funny and unique little creature that is so poplular here in the great state!

Love,
Jenny
