Family Dinner Time Drawings

A really sweet and fun tradition we have started at suppertime is: "Family Drawing Time." Since dinner is so incredibly important to both John and I, it is a top priority in our home! Almost every evening in our home is spent together, around the table, having a home-cooked meal.
We are trying so hard to hold on to this much loved ( Days Gone-By) American tradition. Even when we have a friend spend the night, or quests over, supper is the same, all together, at the table.
So, to further add to the fun, we have started something new after mealtime ( still all together at the table.) We do it every few days, and it is really a special time. We each have our own "Drawing Journal." We get our our journals, crayons and colored pencils and draw: "What Our Favorite Part of Our Day Was."

Then we each take a turn sharing and reflecting on what was special to us individually.

The kids enjoy it, and I really love to see not only what they love and enjoy in their days, but it's another way of getting into my sweet husband's heart as well.

Love,
Jenny
